About this piece
This Star of David heart necklace holds a six-pointed star inside a heart, with multicolor rhinestones around the edge. It is stainless steel in a polished silver tone, cheerful and easy to wear, and it says two things at once: faith and love.
What it means
The Magen David (מָגֵן דָּוִד), the shield of David, sits at the center. The heart comes from its verse in the Song of Songs: “Simeni chachotam al libecha” (שִׂימֵנִי כַחוֹתָם עַל לִבֶּךָ), set me as a seal upon thy heart. In the ancient world a seal marked what was yours, so the line is a promise to belong to each other.
